What is MFest?

Malaysia Fest, fondly known as MFest, is an annual community and cultural festival organised by the Malaysian Student Community of Sydney. The public event is traditionally held at Sydney's glorious Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour.

As a cultural event, Malaysia Fest seeks to promote and raise awareness about Malaysia's cultural diversity to the Australian Community through our amazing cuisine and colourful cultural performances. Famous Malaysian restaurants will be manning food stalls, and Sydney's own Malaysian student population will be providing a myriad of cultural performances for the delight of the Festival's visitors.

Malaysia Fest has consistently and successfully drawn large crowds each and every year. The 12,000 in 2010 and 24,000 in 2011 attendees are testament to the event's success and hard work demonstrated by the highly capable Malaysian Students of Sydney.

The 23rd of September 2012 will mark the 22nd year the event has been held since its humble beginnings on the walkway of the University of New South Wales.

With more food stalls, more performances and tons of surprises in store for our visitors, Malaysia Fest 2012: A Celebration of Taste and Cultural promises to be the best Malaysia Fest yet!! Take out your calendars and mark Sunday 23 September 2012 as the most exciting day of the year! You definitely cannot miss this!
