Malaysia Fest, fondly known as MFest, is an annual community and cultural festival organised by the Malaysian Student Community of Sydney. The public event is traditionally held at Sydney’s glorious Tumbalong Park, Darling Harbour.
As a cultural event, Malaysia Fest seeks to promote and raise awareness about Malaysia’s cultural diversity to the Australian Community through our amazing cuisine and colourful cultural performances. Famous Malaysian restaurants will be manning food stalls, and Sydney’s own Malaysian student population will be providing a myriad of cultural performances for the delight of the Festival’s visitors.
Malaysia Fest has consistently and successfully drawn large crowds each and every year. The 12,000 strong attendees at Malaysia Fest 2010 is testament to the event’s success and hard work demonstrated by the highly capable Malaysian Students of Sydney.
The 9th of October 2011 will mark the 21st year the event has been held since its inception.
With more food stalls, more performances and tons of surprises in store for our visitors, Malaysia Fest 2011: A Taste of Cultural Heaven promises to be the best Malaysia Fest yet!! Take out your calendars and mark the 9th of October 2011 as the most exciting day of the year! You definitely cannot miss this!
The Logo

Enliven by the colours of our Malaysian flag, Malaysia Fest 2011’s logo symbolises Malaysia’s favourite drink – The Teh Tarik!
The flow of the tea taking the form of iconic landmarks across Sydney and Malaysia, expresses the idea of pouring and sharing our vibrant culture with the Australian Community. This is what Malaysia Fest 2011, A Taste of Cultural Heaven is all about; a truly magical cultural experience.
